Shame about that half a star

Full disclosure: It's been a little while since I read this, and I could probably stand to reread it to give a more comprehensive review, but fortunately it made enough of an impression for me to be able to write this for now.
As expected, this reads like it's straight off some stereotypical frat bro website, and the author sounds like a bit of an ass (as well as slightly bitter), but I think that's what he's going for, so I won't fault him for it. Something else worth noting is that the first half starts to feel rather monotonous after a while. It picks up steam as it reaches the second half, but overall, the book could probably use another round of editing and some polishing up.
All of that aside, I know I might not be exactly the target audience, but I did find it somewhat engaging, if only because as a twenty something with my fair share of insecurities and at least a year or two of experiences on tinder, I can relate. I sympathized with some of the women and found it interesting to see how the other side (sometimes) thinks. When you're lonely, it can be a little too easy to forget that you're on Tinder, and that often there's a good chance that the person on the other end really couldn't care less about you.
I don't believe that anyone using Tinder deserves to be disrespected or "taught a lesson" or anything else along those lines, and I don't want to glorify the author's behavior or attitudes towards women, as I found them incredibly frustrating at times, but for better or worse, reading this did make me want to reevaluate some of my interactions on the app.
I can see people wanting to read this book and I can tell the author has put in some effort in both writing and getting the word out about it, but as it is, I'd give it no more than 3.5 stars.

every living breating tinder user should read this

I was lucky enough to have matched with the swindler himself, and I was shocked to see that I had a message from him... because well I'm not one of those beautiful babes that he describes in this book. The first thing Hunter said to me was "do you like reading?" All I could think of was for a guy this good looking, his pick up lines were weak haha but I would later be corrected, because this kids got game.
At first, I couldn't believe that I had bought this book, mainly because the way that these women were being treated. I'm going to tell you as it is, he only wants one thing from women, and that's somewhere to put his man juice. My first few pages I honestly sympathized for these girls, but then I got to thinking, they really did this to themselves. This book made me laugh and appreciate that the only thing I have in common with these girls is the fact that we're all on Tinder.
I have to say that this book taught me some great lessons, such as a harmless dog picture should really be captioned "how to catch a horn dog 101." Hunter should be applauded for all that he goes through to get in these girls pants. It's a book that will make you laugh your ass off, and it would probably even get a few chuckles out of your every day feminist or nun. The kid knows his stuff, and I'm patiently waiting for his next masterpiece... similarly to how he waits for his STD screenings.
All in all, I would recommend this book to anyone with a pulse... well maybe except for my mom

I think it's safe to say that Pennington is a little deranged.

I think it's safe to say that Pennington is a little deranged. Somehow, he managed to disgust me and impress me all at the same time. As I read on, a sense of distrust and cynicism towards men started creeping up on me. I actually had to put it down for a couple of days for the sake of my mental health. However, the psychology of tinder has always fascinated me, so this was an interesting point of view and a HYSTERICALLY entertaining read. I do not advocate this kind of treatment of women, but this Swindler character really grew on to me through Hunter's brusque and ruthless story telling.
