About the Author
Shand Stringham served twenty-six years in the US Army and retired as a colonel. His final assignment on active duty was on the faculty of the US Army War College, where he taught national security and strategy. He lives with his family in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

Concise, clear, and engaging.

This book does an excellent job of explaining theories about strategic leadership and management and making practical suggestions that can be applied across a wide variety of fields. As a student, I found the book easy to follow, both because of the conciseness and the useful diagrams throughout the book. Recommended especially for business or poli-sci students who are tired of long-winded readings and want to get to the core elements of leadership and management theory.

Having read the book cover to cover I can tell you this is a book for both student and for the leader in the field. This book does a great job helping both the student and the operator understand strategic leadership and management - both are critical in today's environment.
